Synopsis
Chen, the divorced newspaper editor, had to return to his ex-wife's home for the weekend because their daughter, Icy, was returning from Britain, along with her boyfriend, Yong. But to their surprise that two people's luggage was lost by the bus driver, with their degree certificates. Yong was beat by the driver. Chen went to the police wanted the bus driver.
After a long day, Chen realized that he had overestimated his ability. He also heard that after this weekend Icy will soon move to Shanghai with Yong. Chen went to black market for luck. Finally, he found the box, but encountered the wanted bus driver. The driver followed Chen home with his gang. At the very moment, Chen unexpectedly found out there is no degree certificate in the suitcase, and found out her big secret...
Director’s Statement
This story started when I came home from the Czech Republic two years ago. My dad and I clashed in many ways. Most of his thoughts are unacceptable to me.
In a traditional family, elders think about the family as a group, carrying on the family bloodline and glorifying the ancestors. But they will gradually realize that they are losing control of their families because young people who want to maximize their personal value need to break free. Everyone only lives once, so you should live your life to the best of your ability.
