Synopsis
Sometime, Sometime follows the quiet daily lives of Zi Kien and his single mother. When he discovers that she has a new boyfriend, Mr Lee, he fears losing her. He begins to imitate the adults around him—their speech, clothes and smoking—although his small frame and youthful appearance make the performance uneasy. One night, after his mother falls asleep drunk, he touches her tangled hair and studies the lines on her face. The next day, she decides to get a haircut.
Mother and son begin to behave awkwardly around each other. Both long for love and tenderness, yet fear caring too much. As affection and anxiety pull them in different directions, they discover their own unpredictability and learn to live with change.
