In 2008, while developing her second feature, Year Without a Summer, Tan Chui Mui set herself the task of making a short film every month. After moving her office from a busy part of Kuala Lumpur to a quieter suburb, she wanted a new way of working. Making the films mattered more than judging whether they were good or bad. All My Failed Attempts brings together seven shorts from that experiment.
